This poor woman holding the sign likely had an abortion, perhaps more than one.
Deep down we are only wired for good, if there isn’t remorse..to cope, an evil has to be made good.
Hence…. having children is made to be “selfish”.
The conception of children isn’t what so many of these population control advocates object to, they seem fine with that … It’s the giving birth to them that they find distasteful.
… And if they can talk those born into sterilizing themselves? Problem solved.
Maybe these people who want to ban birthing children should up the ante and simply ban the continuation of their own lives. They better watch it, because (God forbid) sooner or later some damn fools will help them in that regard.
I wonder about abusive relationships sign holders may have undergone. To view the world as a cesspool and promote this way of thinking causes me to ponder their past.
Their own thesis is that the world is pointless pain. If they did not experience that personally and deeply, the thesis would be absurd to them.
These are not some sort of neo-Malthusians, worried about enough to go around. According to their characterization of life, they would hold the same thesis if there were 10,000 people on earth.
The tragedy of the modern Church is that we offer no explanation for the pain. We ignore it and keep painting new layers of brightly colored Happy Jesus. Absolutely heretical.
I have come to realize that Holy Week is the best part of the liturgical year because it forces a cotton candy Church to somewhat acknowledge sin, death, pain, and sacrifice. Those things are real and the sign holder knows it. She just doesn’t know what to do about it.
Fluffy Jesus is not the answer she needs.
What is one Unselfish reason to have children?
This poor woman holding the sign likely had an abortion, perhaps more than one.
Precisely. And she could have not committed a more selfish act than denying a child life because it inconvenienced her. Any parent will tell you that to have children is to sacrifice a lot in life! It’s a hard job.
She needs to thank your own parents for bringing her into the world so she could stand in the street and hold up a sign exclaiming a thought from her head.
But to answer her question – how’s about we have children in order to continue the survival of the human race. Without children, we die off. She is no Einstein.
