Trump takes on the groyper right. His scorn for these malign actors is totally correct. They wish to trade in Jew hating for clicks and to ignore the threat posed by radical Islam. Trump is always accused of breaking norms, and he is often rude and crude, but his opponents, almost always, are at war with the essence of this country in a way that Trump is not.

I wish more sane people would speak out against the groyper crowd! There was a time not long ago when people who thought as they do knew enough not to say such things out loud. Now, they’re paid handsomely for it.
“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless.
Not to speak is to speak.
Not to act is to act.”
― Dietrich Bonhoeffer
I am thankful for the President speaking on this. I notice more and more some of the young men I teach fall into the groyper nonsense and it is absolutely infuriating. It has become like trying to put out a plethora of little fires.
I was going to say that we need to have an annual Neville Chamberlain award for performative virtue signaling cloaked up as “I’m staying true to my values and beliefs.” I don’t think it captures it. It needs to be an annual Keir Starmer award for performative virtue signaling by showing up after all the tough and dangerous work is done to claim that “we” have brought peace after refusing to do anything at all no matter how miniscule the request is.
The primary things the Brits have been known for is cowardice and gradually losing since Lexington and Concord. The poster child for this is King Charles who refused to give an Easter message but did give a Ramadan message. You know, the guy that is the “Defender of the Faith?”
They should put a carbon tax on the verbal flatulation from “world leaders” and “conservative” podcasters. They say that those that can do and those that can’t teach. We need to add to that that those that can do neither senselessly talk.
Bravo, Mr. President.
Gotta be a bit uncomfortable if the Veep’s office right now, given that Carlson’s son works there.
LKL: He changed it to “Defender of Faith” … Apparently, definite articles are intolerant.
If Trump were not rude and crude he would not be Trump. He is from Queens and never outgrew it. The rest of the world just cannot handle it without their heads exploding.
Don, is it possible that your passions are getting the better of you? What unmistakeable proof do you have that anyone is motivated by hatred? Is it possible that they are innocent in their motivations but simply wrong (or not, depending on one’s point of view)? Keep in mind please, that bearing false witness is a mortal sin. To accuse someone of hatred; itself a mortal sin, is a grave matter. Wrongheadedness is one thing, hatefulness is of a markedly different species. Criticize all you want but perhaps it’s best to leave the state of their heart and soul to God. God bless.
Owens, Carlson, Jones and Kelly are not babes in the woods. They know precisely what they are doing and it is beyond despicable. I have been a conservative since 1964 and people like this have no place in a conservative movement that wants to be taken seriously. Buckley read the Birchers out of the conservative movement and Trump is performing the same service in reading these villains out of the MAGA movement.
Faithful: You’re right, it might not be motivated by hatred, it might simply be greed. But that would also be inexcusable. These types make heinous accusations about, say, Israel, Ukraine, even Brigitte Macron, that they have no real evidence of. That’s gossip, maybe even calumny. For example, they often claim that Israel is targeting civilians. They virtue signal, lamenting that they’re ‘only thinking of the children’ all the while remaining silent that on 7-October Hamas deliberately burned babies alive, and joyfully recorded themselves doing it (Real evidence!). When confronted with this behavioral disparity they will only state that they aren’t pro-Hamas … but the crickets on that side of the scale continue chirping.
No, whether hatred or greed (or whatever other excuse you might be able to think of), their behavior is grotesque and deserves far more condemnation than it receives.
(I admit, though, I find the Brigitte Macron stuff quite funny)
