Listening to music this past week, I realized that the number of new love songs.. men and women… boys and girls.. has plummeted to near zero. It’s as if musicians are now in fear of the male and female dance; the oldest manner of song is practically extinct in new writings. It’s become the love one dares not speak of-
Normal attraction between men and women implies commitment, marriage, kids and all that a family entails. In short, the way most people have achieved maturity time out of mind. Perpetual adolescence as a goal in contemporary society explains a lot that is wrong about out society, and sexual perversions, and the mass marketing of them, are a way of steering people from the fast track to becoming responsible adults.

There is a wonderful YouTube video of Dean Martin on the Perry Como Show in which they reminisce about their hometowns ..Canonsburg, PA, Como’s hometown is only 33 miles from Steubenville…and there was some good natured teasing.
