… My country ’tis
This wee sweet land of liberty
Of thee I sing
Land where my fathers died
Land of the pilgrim’s pride
From every mountainside
Let freedom ring
My native country, thee
Land of the noble free
Thy name I love
I love thy rocks and rills
Thy woods and templed hills
My heart will rapture fills like that above
… Let music swell the breeze
And ring from all the trees
Sweet freedom’s song
Let mortal tongues awake
Let all that breathe partake
Let rocks their silence break
The sound prolong
… Our Father God to Thee Author of liberty
To Thee I sing
My country ’tis of Thee
Sweet land of liberty
For all eternity
Let freedom ring
Let freedom ring
The Author of Liberty is not abandoning His children. Come hell or high water we march forward carrying His Banner in our hearts and honoring Old Glory. By doing that we honor those who have gone before us keeping her free.
God bless this homeowner.
God bless America.
Some of us still have the sense that the flag is not personal property. The flag I own represents the Republic and is by definition shared property, in spirit of not in law. I understand this man’s action.
The most extraordinary thing about this photo is that the man still lives in LA. Will he remain or take the insurance money to a saner state? Is this a turning point for CA or just another fire and back to business as usual?

Catholic365 had an article about blessing a house. LA fires -Turns out a house that had been blessed either by the owner or a priest was the only house on the street that did not catch fire.
