Like we do in our morning Rosary at the parish, we no longer pray for the Pope’s intentions since many of us are not sure what they are. We just pray for the Pope.

In order to gain the plenary indulgence we say, for the HOLY intentions of Pope Francis, and of course meet the other requirements.
I have a devotion to my elder brothers and sisters who have just passed away. Not knowing of their destination right after death, I offer them the indulgence I just gained. In trying to hold close to the formula we add Holy intentions of PF.
I wouldn’t want to run the risk of wasting the offering to my friends whom I’ve cared for.

There is another Adversary that the Swiss Guards cannot protect the pope from. That Adversary can slip through armies without much trouble.
