Media Doing Its Propaganda Job 24-7

Elon Musk would be owed a large vote of thanks if the only thing he ever did was to introduce community notes to Twitter.

Elon Musk should take them to task for implying his vehicles can spontaneously catch fire. Maybe a lawsuit will help them along…

I have reached the point where I look at the source of every “news” item, and if it comes from any of the “legacy media”, especially Reuters, AP, or UPI, I simply assume it is propaganda and react accordingly. That usually means just shaking my head and moving on.

Elon Musk was quick to make a statement that the Tesla truck did not have any flaws that would cause a fire:. that the Tesla was loaded with accelerants. Sick of poor journalism.

This quote from the Indian Times; “Amid this series of blasts, a witty statement has gone viral from Tesla CEO and billionaire Elon Musk, where he claimed that the explosion was an act of terrorism. He praised the Cybertruck’s design for minimizing the blast’s impact, mentioning that the vehicle limited the explosion and directed the blast upwards, protocting the hotel from significant damage. He took to X and wrote, “The evil knuckleheads picked the wrong vehicle for a terrorist attack. Cybertruck actually contained the explosion and directed the blast upwards. Not even the glass doors of the lobby were broken,”

<Frank> ““legacy media”, especially Reuters, AP, or UPI, I simply assume it is propaganda and react accordingly.”

I as well. All television news as well. For a while this was very disheartening and depressing.
News junkie that I am.. I do like to know what is going on, but now:

For Awareness… I have a set of persons on X that I look to and trust having weeded the over reactionary, non independent and immoral out. X can have good in-depth sources it will point to. X is also very useful in gaining an awareness outside of the US, if you follow the right people outside of the US. You gain awareness of these from the people you follow in the US.

For Understanding.. I read (obviously articles here) and I have a set of Podcasts conservative/moderate/old-time-liberal that I listen to in order to gain a better broad understanding. If the podcasts are honest, I’ll listen to the perspective offered. I do not always need to agree with what’s said. They need not always be Christian or Catholic, in fact I do like a couple of atheists very much. Never forget that GKC was first an atheist.

Anyway, just thought I’d share. Thank God for X and Podcasts, independent news, if used in the right measure they’re a light which otherwise would have been darkness. And without both, Harris would be President. It is hard to conceptualize how dark and dystopian that would have been.

(Nothing against Rumble or Truth, I just like to keep things simple. )

Now there is a report from the NY Post that the Vegas perp was actually a Trump supporter and that his suicide was triggered by his wife finding out he had (allegedly) cheated on her and demanding a divorce. He may even have chosen a Cybertruck in order to prevent any bystanders from being harmed:
