The Eucharist is no religious service, but the Priest, through the power of God, making The Second Person of the Trinity manifest among us. What the Priest is doing at that moment is more important than anything else going on in this Vale of Tears.

Absolutely true! But … if the bombs (or mortars) start falling, once the offertory has been made, the Consecrations and the Communion must follow. That is not quite the same as saying “all the rites” of the ceremony of Mass. One can go straight to the Consecration, and then straight to the (priest’s) Communion.
