He should surround himself with whistleblowers from the FBI, especially those men who came forward and exposed the special treatment that Hunter Biden received.

Ideally,
==
the Departments of Justice, Homeland Security, and Treasury are dismantled and federal law enforcement distributed between about seven new departments, with an addendum the responsibility of the armed services.
==
the management strata of the FBI and the line employees in the Washington HQ are cashiered (bar a few whistle-blowers) and debarred from federal employment.
==
the FBI is busted up into a set of successor bureaux.
==
State police provide first line technical assistance to local police. If the state police need help they call the feds, not the locals.
=-
the barnacles are scraped off the federal penal code and the sentencing schedule therein is recalibrated
==
bringing federal charges against someone requires preliminary hearings in front of a federal judge or magistrate or a panel of judges and magistrates, hearings which would require an adversary process now and again. They could elect to refer the matter to a grand jury vote or not.
==
The Attorney-General, the specialized division chiefs, and the US Attorney’s offices make motions and representations in court based on dossiers developed by investigatory agencies whose bailiwick intersects with theirs. They advise investigators but do not initiate investigations or have an investigative staff. They’re in a separate department from the investigators.
==
Lawyers employed by the Attorney-General and his minions face a rotation-in-office rule. If they’ve been so employed for 12 of the last 14 years, their tenure concludes. Ditto the Attorney-General, the division chiefs, and the US Attorneys: if you’ve held the position for four of the last six years, you’re out.

Don, In some ways you have insulted the memory of the Stasi by comparing the present day FBI to them. The Bidenbama FBI were/are much more nefarious, more wicked and more powerful than the Stasi ever dreamed of being. The BFBI demonically attacked Catholics and the Catholic church in ways the Stasi could only hope for. Can you imagine the files that have already been shredded and the hard drives that have already been removed and destroyed? Not to worry – they cannot delete every email and file from every computer and those of them seeking to curry favor with the incoming admin will squirrel away copies. Merry Mary Christmas! Guy, Texas

Hmmm not sure about this one.
Firstly, Patel has openly stated previously he has a deep connection to India. I’m not sure that the head of the FBI should have a deep connection with a nation other than one with the US.
Also, so far Patel is running on the “deep state” agenda which is undoubtedly true. But what does the new FBI look like? You need an internal law enforcement body higher than the police force for national intel and security. Particular in a nation like the US which has a population of over 346 million people.
So beyond an agenda to clean out the organisation, what’s his plans for it? It just seems Trumps nomination is short-sighted.
But what does the new FBI look like? You need an internal law enforcement body higher than the police force for national intel and security. == There should be no ‘new’ FBI.

“There should be no “new FBI”.
Ok so when his job is finished dismantling the FBI, his role will be redundant.

Finally, some interesting confirmation hearings to replace insipid afternoon TV programming. The dems are certain to ask a “gotcha” question and get an answer that blows up in their faces.

He certainly will have his work cut out for him. FBI is a Catch-22: You can’t live with it, you can’t live without it. Disbanding the FBI, replacing it with something else will not inherently change much. Those who populate FBI now could readily move to its replacement. More effective will be to start weeding the FBI itself. I assume by now he has ample knowledge of what ails the FBI, so he’d have ample knowledge of what needs cleaned.
Hopefully having a Republican Congress will allow him to be thorough.
We’ll see what happens.
