“baptized perverts can be themselves…”
One cannot “be themselves” while being possessed by Satan. Only in God our Creator can any person “be themselves”
Back in the ’90’s my father (non-Catholic) said it was common knowledge even when he was a child that homosexuals hid in the priesthood. Mother completely rejected a non-married priesthood, and that may have been part of her reasoning as well, but she rarely spoke of “such things.”
It’s not as if I needed more evidence. that J Martin is dumber than a bag if rocks.
Leon Podles was briefly a seminarian. In 1966, he was manhandled by his roommate. He takes a complaint to the rector’s deputy, whose response was a flurry of self-centered dithering. Podles packed his bags and left.
The attraction of male homosexuals to the clergy as an occupation and the tendency of male homosexuals to form parasitoid cliques made it necessary for those in charge of formation to take vigorous steps to weed them out. (Fr. Paul Shaughnessy, SJ, has suggested that ascetical practices would be effective toward that end). For the most part, they didn’t feel like it, so you ended up with a priest corps where about 1/3 have latent problems of whom perhaps half are fondling each other when they’re not making advances on adolescents if not children (and, of course, forming self-protective cliques).
So little Jimmy Martin isn’t pretending anymore? God bless!
And James Martin is divorced.
Maybe Jimmy is looking to be defrocked so he can marry.
Good luck with that, too may bishops are gay.
Any time Jimmy wants to leave the priesthood he can. There is nothing his Bishop can do to him. All he need do is walk away. I am sure he will be able to find employment with some activist group
The collar gives him prestige, and he can certainly do more damage with it than without it.
He’s only as bad as those who are enabling him. His brazen defiance of basic Catholic morals says more about his superiors than about him. It’s ok folks- Frank Pavone is defrocked, so the Church is in good hands now.
