Stupid Tweet

Neither of those alternatives are remotely possible.  Trump’s main problem is that he is a creature of impulse, has no filter and has no one around him who can prevent him from making an ass out of himself with idiocy like this.  Trump has awesome political skills in some ways, but he constantly shoots himself in the foot with impulsive actions that do him harm.

A fanatic can’t change his mind and won’t change the subject.

The latter is what makes him unbearable. He used to be very cunning, but he has lost that with the endless beating of the 2020 drum. I moved on to DeSantis and this just slaps the imprimatur on why.

Trump could have served himself and his country best by assuming the roll of elder statesman and worked to set up his party for victories in 2022 and 2024. As it is, his legacy has been greatly diminished.

Yes he is stuck on the 2020 election, but it is hard not to be. It was not “The most secure election in history” and every reference to it is preceded by “The Big Lie” when anyone with doubts mentions it. There is no doubt it was rigged if not outright stolen.

Another reason why I hope Trump doesn’t run in 2024. But I’m afraid he will.

There is no evidence that this kind of thing will hurt Trump at the ballot box. The only way it might would be if the Dems ran someone sensible. Wait, did I just write that? Lol

No one is rejoicing over Trump’s tweets like this except his enemies who have nothing to run on in the midterms and the man can’t see it.

All things are possible.
There is real harm being done in this world by the criminal enterprise in office now. I like his tweet- he is up against a monster- all the big money and very clever power players.
Our team ( against Pp snd the swamp ) should not arch the eyebrow a trump now to take down trump now- splitting our team between him and any other candidate is to lose.
the one with no self control- -blood lust -(worse than murder) will not take turns.,
we should not write off 2020 -NOT just shrug our shoulders
Just more power to the devil

Trump is infuriating to a certain type, but all the negatives are baked into the cake at this point. “OMG, he literally wrote COVFEFE!!” Howls the person who never did and was never going to support him.

Trump will be 78 in 2024. We’re learning the hard way that there’s an upper limit on a prudent age to assume the responsibilities of the presidency. I appreciate what he’s done to get the ball rolling on certain issues and appreciate the way in which he exposed the rot in the political order, but I’m hoping he hands on the baton. (I suspect his wife would like a quiet life and I think he should give it to her).

Stuff like this is one of the reasons why I am leery of the long term effects of Trumpism on conservatism.

We all know that over 60 judges, more than half of whom were appointed by Republican presidents and governors and at least half a dozen appointed by Trump himself, looked at the absolute joke of “evidence” of fraud and found nothing. In fact, the few incidents of possible fraud identified were by Republican voters, including Mark Meadows who never lived where he registered to vote. There was no fraud of any consequence in the 2020 election. Trump lost because his ideas lost and his behaviors lost. It is already obvious that the albatross that is Trump has significantly reduced the chances of a Republican takeover of one or both houses of Congress in the upcoming elections. The sooner the Republican party is done with him, the better.

We all know that over 60 judges,

If you’re going to be pompous, at least be satisfactorily informed. It’s the least you can do.

Time magazine did a story about election “fortification” that was in its own way a confessional about 2020 election irregularities, slanted to make them sound noble.
