PopeWatch: Universal Dictatorship

First rate article by Antonio Socci at One Peter Five:

The crucial question placed by Seewald to Ratzinger is this:

One phrase from your first homily as pope has remained particularly impressed in our memory: “Pray for me, that I may not flee for fear of the wolves.” Had you perhaps foreseen what awaited you?

The pope replies that this was not an allusion to the problems of the Vatican (such as Vatileaks), as many thought. Benedict XVI explains:

The true threat for the Church, and thus for the Petrine service, does not come from this sort of episode: it comes instead from the universal dictatorship of apparently humanistic ideologies. Anyone who contradicts this dictatorship is excluded from the basic consensus of society. One hundred years ago, anyone would have thought it absurd to speak of homosexual matrimony. Today those who oppose it are socially excommunicated. The same holds true for abortion and the production of human beings in the laboratory. Modern society intends to formulate an anti-Christian creed: whoever contests it is punished with social excommunication. Being afraid of this spiritual power of the Antichrist is all too natural, and what is truly needed is that the prayers of entire dioceses and of the world Church come to the rescue to resist it.

Go here to read the rest.  The modern global dystopia that is emerging is a mishmash of Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World and George Orwell’s 1984.   A concentration on sex to debase, demoralize and destabilize a society and the use of 1984 tactics to crush rebels.  Like most totalitarian systems it works until it does not.  The inherent weakness of this system is that it gives nothing to believe in.  As Proverbs 29:18 says:  Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.  This is why some crisis requiring more government control must be perpetually dangled before the masses, from climate change to Covid, to Black Lives Matters ad infinitum..  All complete rubbish to disguise mechanisms to gain power and keep power by very unelite elites.

Pope Francis has cast his lot, and momentarily the lot of the Church, with the Great Reset being pushed by globalists, the newest crisis requiring us all to fall into line and give blind obedience to our betters.

Good luck with that Holiness.

What we are seeing is a kind of French Revolution in reverse. The sponsors of globalism (the elites) are using the “deprived” rioters, corrupt elections, fake pandemic, diversity, feminism, etc to deprive the peasants (us) of our American Constitutional rights. All of this is being done with the collaboration and cooperation of the Catholic Church.

It would not be surprising to hear a call for Trump’s head if he loses ala’ Louis XVI.

What has been revealed this year is the evil head of Liberalism (the devil’s strategy) manifesting itself. Is Napoleon II next?

The pandemic is all too real. The thing is, making use of postal balloting as an adjustment to the problems posed was gratuitous. The pandemic was an excuse to provide avenues to vote fraud.

And note the mix of stupidity and malice and fraud in the regulations they attempt to impose. We learned this five months ago when suddenly riots and demonstrations on behalf of causes the Democratic Party favors were deemed kosher even as the rest of us were restricted from gathering. We’ve know for months that the young are not affected by this virus, but teachers’ unions and other lobbies keep pressing for school closures. Our public life is awash in mendacity.

Pope Benedict nailed it. Politics, it is often said, is downstream from culture, but upstream of culture lies the realm of the spirit, and that is where the real poison leaching into the civilizational stream is to be found.
