Yes. Hard work transcends earthly value. It’s not about earthly worth but the treasure in the afterlife. And no one can take that away from you.

Indeed. The monastic orders got it right with the “Ora et Labora” rule and all of its permutations.

Agree. I wish American society had less of an emphasis on college/university and more on trade schools/ appremticeships. Upward mobility is what the US is know for.

I tell my two sons how proud I am of them often. They realize the work ethic that has been passed down through many generations on both sides of our family and have voiced their thanks and love.
They also realize how important an intact family is. Just wish and pray they would find good wives.

The intention to provide for one’s family makes a father, a husband and a good son. May God bless him always.

What I do for a living can be considered menial work by some. I don’t mind.

I love what I do and I owe my greatest thanks to two people. One divine, Jesus. The other near divine.. 🙂 ..my wife.

As a caregiver I serve both the family of the aged as well the individual. It’s ministry work.

I’m blessed to have been lead to this field.
24 years in June.

Philip, we should all be so fortunate as to have a “menial” job like yours. Thank you for what you do.
