By denying that he is oppressed, this man is enacting whiteness.
How can we possibly fight racism when black people won’t do what they’re told? pic.twitter.com/PmXuDYFLP0

Nothing to do with this post: request prayers of this blog’s participants – commenters & authors. Had cardiac event 24 hrs ago. Bad. But am still alive to torture you all with my comments. God is always good.

Prayers for you LQC.
If I were a high school social studies teacher and was mandated to commemorate Black History Month (I agree with Morgan Freeman on this) by way of assigning students a project, Thomas’ Memoir My Grandfather’s Son would be required reading. I would probably assign it independent of BHM.
Thomas’ memoir gives some of the best insights into what life was like in the Jim Crow south in the 50s and 60s. I also think kids ought to learn about his grandfather Myers Anderson.
An excellent suggestion Greg. Myers Anderson reminded me of some of my relatives.
Will be praying for you LQC!
Prayers.
.
Your comments are top notch, LQC. Not at all torture.
While we’re at it, another episode in Mona Charen’s return to decency.

Created Equal: Clarence Thomas In His Own Words was available to view on PBS for a short a short while. This excellent film was conspicuously missing during Black History Month.
