Interesting while starlings are not native to the Americas (this I knew), they are a native of Australia (at least per Wikipedia). We’ll get not so large flocks doing this in MA at times in late summer early fall and sometimes all landing in a neighborhood like a scene from Alfred Hitchcock.
Usually in Dwight Illinois we get a few geese landing at our man made lake. On a morning I will never forget thousands of migratory geese, flying south, flew over our town honking up a storm. It was an awe inspiring sight.
Awesome. We only see single flocks in V formation heralding the Fall. Although Canadian geese seem to be everywhere these days.
Crows. Thousands and thousands and thousands of crows. They tend to stay down by the river – come for winter, leave at spring. At the moment, they’re all over the place looking for food. Eerie sight going over the bridges at dusk.
Put up your umbrella.
