I shudder to contemplate the metaphysics of someone who does not assign “being” to something that same person also admits exists. Although I would imagine such a metaphysics begins with non and ends with serviam.
James 2:13 is for All beings.
Those that serve and those who only serve themselves;
Douay-Rheims Bible
For judgment without mercy to him that hath not done mercy. And mercy exalteth itself above judgment.
Funny how people have come to think that the human mind is capable of changing reality.
Dude, the cat in the box is either dead or alive. I don’t care what you *think* about it!
(PS: Nor does the cat!)
TBO.
In complete agreement with you.
Reality checks gone wrong.
Working along side of such a tormented soul is an excercise in patience and understanding.
She /( he ) is doing extreme harm to the Integrity of her own conscience. It’s so sad.
All I’m trying to do is invite her to come to embrace Truth, Jesus. What I fear is her killing herself when she looks into the mirror one sad day and say; “What did I do?”
I do not take a road of indignation but one of pity.
Empathy.
These are Christ’s children. How He goes about to help them is my challenge. To not get in His way.

Philip-
Hard when you are certain somebody needs reform but uncertain what if any action to take.
I think at times like this we must remember that prayer IS an action. One we can take that will never make the situation worse because it relies solely on the will of God on how and if the petition is granted.
God has claimed St Mary of Egypt- perhaps a good intercessor for folks tormented by their sexuality.

Excellent advice.
Thank you so much. I have befriended her. Found some decent furniture for her new living quarters. Had very light talks thus far, so your advice is perfect…Prayer. Thank you.
The St. Mary if Egypt link very useful;
After venerating the relic of the True Cross, she returned to the icon to give thanks and heard a voice telling her, “If you cross the Jordan, you will find glorious rest and true peace”.
True Peace. I’ll start praying through St. Mary for her true Peace.

TBO, methinks the cat will raise quite the ruckus if you “decide” it is not living….
