I didn’t know Stallone had three daughters. I’d only known of his son. All in all, looked like generally pleasant meeting.
The Bergog even lies meeting Stallone and his family. Here is something I read.
“Stallone expressed his appreciation that the Pope “took time from your very busy day” to chat with his family. That led to Pope Francis saying he was honored as well, adding, “we grew up with your films!”
“The first Rocky film was released in 1976, when Pope Francis was 40 years old. So he wasn’t exactly a kid when he watched the iconic boxing film.”
Nice to see a prominent actor come back to the fold.
I don’t recall St JP2 meeting any old celebrity for a photo op. He had more class.
These celebrities are paying for the meet and greet- it’s set up by their PR team. And the Pope seems happy to oblige.
It looked quite embarrassing how Stallone carried on with the boxing- looked like an idiot. His daughters are social media influencers and what they call “nepotism-kids”. His wife and his daughters should have worn a veil for the meeting. But I guess nobody does anymore with this new modern Pope.
Having said the above Rocky is one of my all time favourite movies, and the music is thoroughly brilliant.
