Days of Wine and Roses

Great film.  Ironically both of the stars would go on to battle alcoholism, successfully if that is the proper term.  Currently the social acceptance, or rather encouragement, of heavy drinking and drug use ties in with most of our social problems. I can’t imagine Hollywood making a film like this today.  As a culture we need to change our self-destructive path.

“One is good, two is too many, three is only half enough.”
A glass of beer after dinner seems to be the only way I can consistently maintain that mantra. One (1) is good. That and a 16 hour fast that begins thereafter. Fasting is healthy and it compensates for the beer which is also a great way to begin a fast.
Wine is higher in alcohol and not filling. Hard liquor is much higher content making it so much more dangerous in getting to three.
“Know thyself”.
