I grew up in California. My dad bought a house for $72,000 in 1976. When he retired it sold for over $400,000. Recently a house in the neighborhood sold for over a million dollars. I can’t afford to live in my own hometown. That said, the Coleman SunDome tent which was the final tent the realtor showed them is actually a really good tent. We have one and it is been through some fierce thunderstorms while camping. Not a drop of water got into the tent. After the kids are out of school and I retire, I know of some great spots where I could set it up if I decide to return to my hometown. There’s this one that is close to shopping, a park, and the City swimming pool where there are showers and toilets.
