The useless people here would be the succession of Conservative ministers who have supervised the British armed services since 2010. This sort of thing should have been yanked out at the roots by 2014 at the latest. Anything which required changes in statutory law should have been accomplished prior to COVID. The slackers running the ‘Defense ministry’ since 2010 have been:
Philip Hammond (2010-14)
Michael Fallon (2014-17)
Gavin Williamson (2017-19)
Penny Mordaunt (2019: May-July)
Ben Wallace (2019- )
All are Conservative Party members. Wallace is the one among them who has a history in the service, and was on active duty from 1991-98.
