PopeWatch: You Can’t Be Too Careful

Of course we no longer hear what the good nuns taught us many decades ago about “judging” others. We are required to “discern and admonish” out of love for their wayward souls!
My diocesan newspaper this week has an editorial on “We should challenge those who criticize the pope, on whether they spend time praying for him.” The editorial goes on to state that we pray for the pope at the end of the rosary (yes) , and at every mass around the globe (yes).
I can’t help but feel gaslighted AGAIN. I mean really, it’s the fault of those who point out error(?!) and not those who say nothing(?!) So ridiculous. I’ve come up with a special prayer for the current pope, it’s from Fiddler on the Roof. The Rabbi when asked if he had a prayer for the Czar: “May God bless and keep this Pope (Czar) ……far away from us! ” Because obviously -he’s not Catholic.
It’s interesting that those condemning those they perceive as judgmental are themselves being judgmental. Yet, this is lost on them. It’s the stern disapproval of disapproving anything.
There’s nothing wrong with being judgmental. Matthew 7 is against hypocrisy, not against the use of judgment. Christians should judge well and judge often.
The Twitter screen capture above depicts a Jesuit Bible. We already have one in effect: the Katholyck NABRE. Its study notes are so liberal progressive heretical that every edition should be burned into oblivion except for one copy to remain as a memorial of the utter foolishness of modern Katholyck Biblical scholarship. The same goes for the New Katholyck Bible (a new translation) and the New Jerusalem Bible. IF you refuse to believe God created the heavens and the earth, that the serpent decieved Eve, that God destroyed the world with a flood, that God confused the languages of the world at the Tower of Babel, that God nuked Sodom and Gomorrah for homosexual perversion, that God visited 10 plagues on Egypt to wreck its belief in their pagan gods, that God parted the Red Sea for Moses and the Israelites to cross, etc., etc., etc., THEN you won’t believe in Jesus’ Virgin Birth, in the Eucharist as Jesus’ Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity, and in Jesus’ resurrection from the dead.
The infection and infestation of godless liberal progressive heresy invaded the Church long before that worthless useless heretical Marxist Peronist Caudillo occupied the Seat of St. Peter. He is merely the culmination of such heresies.
One last thing: fathom this –> how can a Latino Pope oppose the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in Latin? What cognitive dissonance! I don’t advocate ONLY Latin for the Mass. However, I do advocate freedom for individual Parishes to choose in what liturgy they wish to celebrate Mass. And likewise I do advocate replacing the NABRE in the Mass readings with either the RSV2CE or the ESVCE (not the Douay-Rheims which, being a translation of a translation, has its own inaccuracies).
agree – no NABRE
