February 11, 2013: Pope Benedict Announces His Resignation Because of His “Health Concerns”
Donald R. McClarey
Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 41 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.
In the immortal words of Clint Eastwood playing the character Dirty Harry in the film Magnum Force: “A man’s got to know his limitations.”
“He didn’t realize what demons he was unleashing.” I disagree as it is highly likely his health excuse was utter nonsense and this was the result of simple blackmail. Regardless, once it became crystal clear demons had been released, he did nothing visible to help despite the opportunity to do so. For that, and despite the fact I still have a soft spot in my heart for him, he’s just one more deadbeat dad.
I’ve always thought it was blackmail. He didn’t seem to cultivate rhe allies needed to be a strong pope.
Above my pay grade and I’ve ceased to be interested in this corrupt Vatican. BTW, what ever happened to Fr George Rutler in NYC? Hmmm.
“what ever happened to Fr George Rutler in NYC?”
He was cleared by the DA’s office after an investigation. Of course, that got zero attention in the Uniparty-approved media. Here is the story I saw last year at LifeSite News:

I hadn’t even heard about that. People can be different than you think they are, but Father Rutler? That would be a stretch.
