PopeWatch: Ever on the Side of the Oppressors

In an earlier Nov. 20 statement, the lawyers issued a “filial call to pastors,” criticizing Italy’s hierarchy for actively opposing protestors and “disavowing” faithful Catholics who “every week have taken to the streets to pray the Rosary to defend their dignity as free men.”

They criticized in particular a “surprising and saddening” message the bishops issued for next year’s National Day for Life, which appeared to be directed at those opposed to the COVID vaccine and accusing them of “selfishness, indifference, and irresponsibility” — characteristics, the bishops said, “far removed from the Gospel and from the spirit of the Constitution.”

Iustitia in Veritate said placing the Gospel and the Constitution “on the same level shows a desolating levelling with the world and the degradation of a Church reduced to the rank of ‘handmaiden of science.’” They also wondered how it was possible to “reconcile the protection of life” with vaccines that are “contaminated by abortion,” have shown themselves to have “a poor [record] of effectiveness,” and to have “extremely dangerous adverse effects on health, especially for the younger segment of the population.”

Fontana and Massa, who said they have had some success in preventing some people who refused to comply with the vaccination requirement from being suspended from work, criticized the bishops for being “openly vaccinist and coercive.”

They said they believed the bishops justified their approach firstly because of the Vatican’s “open support of the vaccination campaign” (the Vatican has its own green pass policy) and secondly due to Pope Francis’ recent video, produced by the Ad Council, in which he said vaccination was an “act of love” toward others.

Italy’s mainstream media claims the majority of Italians are in favor of the both the green pass and super green pass restrictions, and data shows that nearly 74% of the population is fully vaccinated, one of the highest rates in Europe.

But Fontana and Massa believe more and more people are becoming aware of a “sinister game” that is taking place. “The massive media censorship, the violent repression of dissenting demonstrations that have taken place in Italy as in most other nations, demonstrate a single globalist direction and the consequent end of national sovereignty,” they predicted.

They therefore believe it is “crucial to establish networks of solidarity, where authentic human relationships can be revived and strengthened to judiciously recognize evil in order to resist actions that aim to destroy man and society.”

“Only the rediscovery and the courageous defense of our nature and dignity can prevent us from being overcome by discouragement,” they said, “and act according to the logic that our victory is that of Another and that the gates of hell will not prevail.”

Go here to read the rest.  You can always count on this Vatican to ever be on the side of the powerful and the oppressor.

I’d put out a wager that these are danged near “end times” but, if I won, I wouldn’t be able to collect it, so I’ll just keep my eye on the clouds and stand tall for now.

An “act of love” must affirm the humanity and dignity of all including the most vulnerable among us, the unborn. No one would readily use any product knowingly produced via the murder of helpless concentration camp victims. Why the different attitude regarding one produced by the murder of the unborn; an act carried out in a particularly heinous and tortuous manner? And how is it an “act of love” to deny conscience protection to those who refuse to take a tainted product? It’s not about health when folks are being thrown out of work, even needed medical personnel, for declining to take this “voluntary” product.

Case counts in Italy are running at < 1/2 of what they were last year and death counts at < 1/10 th and we know bloody well that the vaccines are about as effective as flu shots and not needed by anyone under 45 bar the morbidly obese. This same pointless and abusive program is in place in how many occidental countries?

“Sinister game,” “massive media censorship, violent repression of of dissenting demonstrations…”

Add: ‘+ IT orgs “wiping clean” nearly any countervailing opinion, no matter how fact-based, against the official “scientific narrative.”’

The worst development that has occurred in our lifetime—-besides the disaster of Vatican II—-is the acceptance of government funding by bishops’ “charity” and other bishops’ conference organizations in nearly every Western country:

Would have been so much better to adopt S. Teresa’s Discalced Carmelite principle of no standing funding—-and certainly NO government funding at all.

To Don L: Certainly odds in your favor on winning. Way better than odds of Ohio State getting in the BCS for sure.

I never thought as a lad that I would live to see the “controversial” prophecies of La Sallette completely fulfilled.

Behold the pontifical vision of the Church:
The oligarchy’s foot-washing strumpet.

Caesaropapism, re-imagined.

Steve Phoenix.

Don’t be surprised if you see incredible darkness in the sky on a cloudless evening. An examination of conscience that is as clear as mountain water. And then a collision of two celestial objects which leaves a perfect cross in that sky above. Streams of light issuing from the cross where our redeemer was nailed to the wood two thousand years ago.

Mercy.

Imo, we have been watching the birth pangs increase for over 25 years. Some natural and some man made. These disturbances are on the rise.

La Sallette. Yes. Tears from Our Blessed Mother. Humanity is hanging by a thread.

Keep climbing the Holy Mountain.

btw…..please say an extra prayer or two for God to intervene come Wednesday as the SCOTUS looks at Dobbs v Jackson.

We have five priests and anticipate 100 to 150 rally participants gathering at our local Govermental Center in Traverse City to pray to God, publicly asking for His help to sway hearts to support Life. To
help wipe away Our Mother’s tears.
