Supply chain issues are global. Across all industries. Freight has gone up 60% globally.
The rich got richer during Covid.
As I like to tell people, what is a billion dollars worth on a deserted island? You can throw hundred dollar bills at the world all you want, but it won’t make the rain fall today or the crops grow faster.
Enable is right, but the rich may soon enjoy a bit of God’s justice as they find their money has nothing to buy.

Per Sundance, the problem is California emissions standards, which effectively have precluded trucks not manufactured in the last three from traveling between the state line and the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. Since California’s environmental regulators are impeding interstate commerce to wretched effect, seems like something which could be properly over-ridden.
I know someone at John Deere who bragged to me about making new tractors as difficult to repair as possible. The intention was of course to force them to use John Deere approved parts forever. But might not be a good choice in the face of a supply chain collapse.
I know Louis Rossmann – a right-to-repair advocate on youtube – has spoken out against John Deere more than once. Good news for Mohindra though as one of their selling points is easy to repair tractors.
