Recent coincidence..At breakfast I was reading about the Saint of the Day. I’ve always liked the story of Lydia the Purpurler. It brought to mind my Catholic friend Lydia; wondered how she was doing. That afternoon I was using the library computer when I felt a touch on my shoulder, “Hi, it’s me, Lydia. I hadn’t seen her in over a year. Told her it was her saint day. and that she should be wearing purple. Anyway we had a nice long chat on various subjects including the ancient small country of Lydia near Turkey which was known for making battle armour. Turns out her maiden name is Armor.
