PopeWatch: Puppetmasters’ Administration

NPR notes the Vatican-White House axis of CINOs:

Nevertheless, the new president has a friend — and potential ally — at the Vatican. On Inauguration Day, Pope Francis sent Biden a warm note saying, “Grave crises facing our human family call for farsighted and united responses.”

Relations between Pope Francis and Trump were at best chilly. When Trump was still a candidate in 2016, Pope Francis suggested he was “not a Christian” for his campaign vow to deport more immigrants and build a wall along the border with Mexico. A year later, the pope wondered how Trump could claim to be “pro-life” while ordering policies that broke up the families of immigrants and asylum seekers.

Biden’s election was welcomed by the Vatican — but without mention of his support for abortion rights, says Villanova University theology professor Massimo Faggioli.

“It’s clear that they see this moment as a return to some sanity. This is what the Vatican really holds dear,” says Faggioli, “so that that there is a predictability in the relations between countries and leaders.”

Faggioli, the author of Joe Biden and Catholicism in the United States, argues that under the influence of the previous two papacies, the U.S. Catholic Church leadership became increasingly traditionalist, ignoring any discourse on racism, rule of law or voting rights — and has thus become more closely allied with the political right.

He points out that Biden and the pope share the same detractors among American Catholic leaders — the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, which he says “is dominated by ultraconservative Catholic bishops whose political sympathies lie very clearly with the Republican Party, and not just on the abortion issue.”

The Vatican was reportedly annoyed by a bishops’ conference statement on Inauguration Day. Signed by the group’s leader, Archbishop José H. Gomez, the statement lamented that “our new President has pledged to pursue certain policies that would advance moral evils and threaten human life and dignity, most seriously in the areas of abortion, contraception, marriage, and gender.” It added that “for the nation’s bishops, the continued injustice of abortion remains the preeminent priority.”

An unnamed senior Vatican official told the Catholic publication America, “It is most unfortunate and is likely to create even greater divisions within the Church in the United States.”

“So, there is an extremist wing of the Catholic Church,” says Faggioli, “which is a handful of bishops, but a bigger chunk of the clergy.”

Go here to read the rest.  A few things.  Note the pretense by NPR that Puppet Biden has any real role to play in this administration.  One wonders how long that sham can be kept up given daily evidence that increasingly Biden can’t handled the short texts he is asked to parrot.  The contempt that Francis Catholics have for Roman Catholics leaps off the page of the post.  The saving grace of this kidney stone of a Pontificate is how heavy handed and obvious they are.  They could care less that Puppet Biden is nominally a Catholic.  The worst problems for this Vatican come from faithful Catholics.  It is the Leftism of the Puppetmasters’ Administration that attracts Pope Francis.  Thr Francists could care less about Catholicism the religion;  their concern is purely for using a Catholic veneer to advance Leftist goals.  Understand that, and you largely understand this Vatican.

Faggioli is an absurd man who says absurd things to promote an absurd agenda.

Case in point: Faggioli’s nonsensical assertion that the USCCB “… is dominated by ultra conservative Catholic bishops whose political sympathies lie very clearly with the Republican Party, and not just on the abortion issue.” Take a moment to drink in the breathtaking absurdity of that statement, the cherry on top of Faggioli’s steaming pile of ridiculous assertions in defense of his indefensible narrative.

The only sensible response to people like Faggioli is to point at them and laugh.

The most important thing is that the faithful hold on to the integrity of their faith. And I believe they are the majority of Catholics, contrary to what is being peddled out there by the Vatican, self-appointed commentators, Bishops or whoever. “You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.” A.L

The Catholic Church needs to have a discussion about the distribution and wielding of power. Too many advocates of Catholic Social Teaching have a fixation on government. The problem with crony capitalism, socialism and communism is the unaccountable concentration of power that is inherently corrupting to those who wield it. The establishment elite ends up trying to be the people’s master. An establishment elite that has more than a little in common with Gollum and his precious. The Founding Fathers had an excellent understanding of how dangerous concentration of power is.

It has been my experience that being unwelcoming to others results in poor relationships with them. It is a wonder to me that the Pope isn’t aware of this truth. After reading the above, I looked for examples of the Vatican engaging with the Trump Administration and came up with only examples of the Vatican chastizing President Trump for his administration’s policies. There were no attempts to reach out, to find common ground, to move hearts and minds… Nothing one would call normal engagement, much less the kind of engagement one expects from a pope.

If you look at the Church hierarchy as a bureaucracy their behavior is birds of a feather. Trump was a threat to their bureaucratic self interest.

From Luke 12:

51 Think ye, that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, no; but separation.

52 For there shall be from henceforth five in one house divided: three against two, and two against three.

53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against his father, the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother, the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

“Division” is not a sign of someone being a bad Christian. It is precisely what Christ promised.

I have never understood how people like PF from third world countries migrate to the Western World but insist on carrying the baggage with them from their former residence. Quite true that Biden and the Pope are alike in their affinity for social engineering and likely both will meet with the same level of success.
