Well, It Was a Large Spider

Language advisory as to the above video.  Over the years I have encountered bees and wasps while driving.  The thing to do is to concentrate on the road, find a safe place to pull over and deal with the creature when the car is stopped.  This isn’t rocket science, but panicking while driving is a good way to have your next stop be the morgue.

What is interesting is that during all the panic, someone kept on filming.

“Kept on filming” but not long enough. I feel cheated. Where’s the finale? Did the driver pull over or open a window to brush the spider outside? Hopefully the girls are okay.
Couldn’t help but laugh even though I’ve had a serious spider bite. Now I kill every spider that I see.

Looks like a premature cabinet pick for the Harris Administration.
Best to brush it out of the vehicle and step on it. Multiple times.
Creepy.

You call that a big spider? (Think Crocdile Dundee in New York – “you call that a knife?” )
When I lived in Australia in the 1980’s we were regularly visited in the house by Huntsman spiders which were often bigger than your hand. After freaking out for the first few times and killing them, we found that they were pretty benign and were only after other insect pests, so we would generally let them be. If you riled them up though, they could give a nasty bite – though not venemous.

Haha…..very good Don, and very true. Yes, you’re much safer in NZ. Mind you, they left out the most dangerous predator – homo sapiens 😆
