Nick Sandmann Settles Defamation Lawsuit With Washington Post

The Washington Post is the latest news organization to settle a defamation lawsuit launched by Covington Catholic High School student Nicholas Sandmann over its botched coverage of a viral confrontation with a Native American elder that had portrayed the Kentucky teen as the aggressor.

Sandmann announced the victory on Twitter.

“On 2/19/19, I filed $250M defamation lawsuit against Washington Post. Today, I turned 18 & WaPo settled my lawsuit. Thanks to @ToddMcMurtry & @LLinWood for their advocacy. Thanks to my family & millions of you who have stood your ground by supporting me. I still have more to do,” Sandmann wrote on Friday.

Go here to read the rest.  Cancel culture wanted to destroy a group of Catholic kids for absolutely nothing.  I am delighted that they successfully fought back.  An object lesson for all of us.

Good for Nick. He also has a lawsuit against my son Matt on Twitter comments he made at the time.

OT, Prof. MS Adams has died. It isn’t known as yet whether it was a suicide or some other event. The commentary of the press and characters at his institution on his life and work is so mendacious and unreasonable that you have to conclude that those specific agencies are simply rotten to the core because run by rotten human beings.

I still chuckle when I saw a post from 4chan – one of the most depraved and forsaken regions of the internet – go over the happenings with Kavanaugh and Covington Kids and wondered, “Is God real and looking out for them?”

I can imagine the response to THAT.

4Chan starts laughing hysterically

nervous glances over shoulder, whisper
D’you suppose it might be right….?
