A self-described “ol’ fashioned church” has been targeted by Black Lives Matter protesters for two weeks in a row.
Grace Baptist Church in Troy, New York, has posted dozens of videos of the treatment that Christians are subjected to for simply attending services.
A mob has repeatedly gathered in front of the church and shouted at worshipers as they enter the building, intimidating them, and getting quite aggressive.
Go here to read the rest. The church is quite conservative and attracted attention on June 28 by raffling off an AR-15. So what? Do we have freedom of religion in this country or do we not? If a civil war eventually starts in this country, it will be because of local authorities allowing radical Leftists to get away with this type of outrageous behavior.
Of course they are coming for us. Duh. This the long awaited internal assault on the remnants of the Christian West and America. There comes a point when we’re in denial level, head in sand, and among those who reflect the famous line: “It’s not that I like the Empire; I hate it, but there’s nothing I can do about it right now.”
Of course they are coming for us.
They will have chosen—poorly.
The more out of control BLM gets the sooner they be condemned by the public at large.
MD: Are you saying BLM is not condemned now by the public?
Dr. K: can’t speak for Michael, but I believe it’s very hard to tell what the general public thinks when the “MSM” refuse to cover or say anything that deviates from the approved narrative. Such is the state of our culture today. I can spend all day surfing right and left wing websites, and each side portrays a world totally the opposite of the other. Polls are not to be trusted. My friends and family unanimously condemn the leftist revolution, but that sample is no more indicative of general sentiment than the websites and blogs.
Will we know in November? I sure hope so, although the near certainty of massive vote fraud by the Democrats worries me greatly. I suppose this is just a long-winded way to say that I don’t know the answers. Propaganda is effective to some extent or it would have been abandoned by now. So I wait and hope and pray that people are seeing through the media fog as well now as they did four years ago (but failed to do in 2018).
This also raises in my mind another question: at what point does “turning the other cheek” become foolish, and self-defense become justified, when the civil authorities will not protect Christians from open, violent attack? Do we play into the hands of the left if and when we stand up for ourselves and physically fight back? Again, I don’t know. But I am very close to starting to exercise my right to bear arms when I go to church.
The diocese of Arlington VA had a one day course on handling intruders. It was offered a year or so ago about the time Mr. McCarrick was in the news when priests were being assaulted in their churches. Priests that had no relation to molestation cases whatsoever.
Re: http://www.familyfoundation.org: “Now the Governor is encouraging people to anonymously report businesses such as grocery stores, restaurants and even gun ranges, to the Department of Health if they are believed to be violating Executive Orders 63 and 65 for exceeding gathering limits and face covering requirements. Worse yet, there is a specific category for religious services and a place to type in the church’s name!”
Two cases of shady looking men at local churches – one sitting in the back and taking copious notes which appeared to be in shorthand or another alphabet during Mass and Holy Hour. The other standing up and taking photos during Mass. Both instances were reported to the pastor.
Frank,
My son in Louisiana carries {Glock in .45 ACP] in Church. Down there they pay off-duty police in uniform for security. He ‘ran it past’ the pastor who was OK with it. Of course, he’s a family man and combat veteran with a good head on his shoulders. His wife keeps a .357 mag revolver in her truck.
My ex-twin brother [he unfriended me for right-wing commentary on FB years ago] who was [note past tense] as far left as I am to the right now wants to shoot liberals, BLM, and antifas. He’s seriously ranting about going out and shooting somebody if Biden wins in November.
Them pollsters will never hear anything like that. People who do don’t talk about it.
CAM, Did anybody follow either clown home? That would shake them up.
Me? I’m too old (70) for that $#!+. Just call me ‘Kimber.’
T. Shaw:
I always thought a Glock was .40 caliber.
Comes in various calibers – those dang multicultural Austrians!
T Shaw, my friend passed him sitting in the pew, writing on her way out of the Church, so no she didn’t follow. When she called church office to report him the office manager told her about the photo incidence at the main church.
Re Louisiana and guns, your vehicle is considered an extension of your home. I know this because a year before Katrina my husband’s cousin was riding his motorcycle in New Orleans at night. When he stopped for a red light 4 youths from the projects wanted his bike. He refused; they hit him with a baseball bat so hard it cracked his helmet. He pulled his pistol from a saddle bag and winged one of the them. Cops came and took him to Charity Hospital. After the stitches they asked him to come to the station to make a statement. Next thing he was in a cell. Without him being present before the magistrate, he was charged with attempted homicide. Our landline was the only number he could remember. I found a bail bondsman and a lawyer. Two weeks in the clink until the lawyer pleaded self defense and charges dropped. Then the sheriff wanted the cousin to come back to testify against the punks. No way would this marine who served in Viet-Nam return to corrupt NOLA. That late night ride cost him $7,000.
