PopeWatch: Soros

PopeWatch2-199x300-199x300-199x300

PopeWatch hopes this alarms some people at the Vatican:

A regular and major donor to Planned Parenthood and other pro-abortion groups, Soros recently backed a campaign to try to silence Pope Francis and other top Catholic leaders on abortion, Breitbart reports.

Through grants to various pro-abortion groups, the strategy of Soros’s Open Society Foundations was to influence top Catholic leaders to speak less about abortion and more about poverty and environmental issues, according to the report.

According to the report, the Soros money was used to gain access to some of Pope Francis’s closest advisers. These include Cardinal Oscar Andres Rodriguez Maradiaga from Honduras and Archbishop Marcelo Sanchez Sorondo, both of whom have been “a driving force for the new leftward political slant of the Vatican,” according to Breitbart.

Soros’s money also was used on campaigns to influence huge mainstream media outlets on their religious reporting, including USA Today, CNN, NBC, NPR, the Washington Post and the Guardian, according to the report.

Here’s more from the report:

The plan was first advanced at a board meeting of Soros’s Open Society U.S. Programs Board in May, 2015, where the radical group boasts of direct influence with Pope Francis. At that meeting, the board announced a $650,000 grant to a wealthy radical group called PICO “in order to seize this moment..to engage the Pope on economic and racial justice issues, including using the influence of Cardinal Rodriquez, the Pope’s senior advisor, and sending a delegation to visit the Vatican in the spring or summer to allow him to hear directly from low-income Catholics in America.”

The grant also supported a public media campaign run by a largely protestant group called Faith in Public Life (FPL), run by Presbyterian minister Jennifer Butler who has been active in promoting abortion at the UN.

The report states, “The grant will also support FPL’s media, framing, and public opinion activities, including conducting a poll to demonstrate that Catholics are responsive to the Pope’s focus on income equality, and earning media coverage that drives the message that being ‘pro-family’ requires addressing growing inequality.”

The documents came from the Soros-backed Open Society Foundations via the website DCLeaks.com. Another leaked document linked Soros to a three-year plan through 2019 to push pro-life countries to legalize abortions, including Ireland, Mexico, Zambia, Nigeria and Tanzania.

Another leaked document showed Soros’s Open Society Policy Center gave Planned Parenthood $1.5 million for damage control after undercover videos showed its top officials trafficking aborted babies’ body parts.

Politico reports Soros also has been quietly spending huge amounts of money to “overhaul” the U.S. justice system through elections. Though the report does not mention it, this also has the potential to impact abortion laws in the U.S.

In a related report, newly released Hillary Clinton emails also revealed how the pro-abortion presidential candidate leaned on the liberal billionaire for advice. Last month, Soros donated $25 million to Clinton and Democratic election campaigns, Politico reported.

Go here to read the rest.  I doubt if the present Vatican is alarmed however.  It isn’t as if George Soros was doing something really bad like arguing that anthropomorphic global warming is a leftist myth for example.  When it comes to abortion Pope Francis has made clear that his contribution to the fight against the slaughter of the innocents will be lip service, and damn little of that.

Right now it’s all about the next pope.

The College of Cardinals need to know.

Soros should be handed over to the Thailand government. Of course, that would make Shea’s head explode.

George Soros, er, P. Francis, today 9/1/2016, in his address “Show Mercy For Our Common Home”, takes his new definition of Catholic “teaching” yet further, and urges us to go to confession to ask forgiveness for our sins against the environment.

Citing approvingly another heresiarch, Patriarch Bartholomew I (who must also have gotten some good $$$ from the ex-Nazi smuggler) that “we are all sinners against the environment”, PF substitutes care for the environment as a new corporal work of mercy. Amazing.

What will be considered to be the “Catholic Faith” in, 20 years, nay, a decade?

More awful evidence of the ‘global initiative’….UN, Clinton, Soros, or otherwise. Same beast.
I read they were responsible for squashing the Kim Davis meeting. If you remember there was much confusion- they met, they didn’t meet, denied by Vat spokesman… Meanwhile the meeting of PF and his homosexual student- who brought along an entourage included his lover who was presented to the Pope. There is another Soros character Jeffrey Sachs, and an assorted group of atheists, Gaia worshippers, and others ‘obsessed’ with the environment, helped to write Laudation Si- yes helped to write a papal encyclical! The group behind the light show on St Peter’s on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception is pushing the same agenda- and it ain’t Catholic!

I was truly disappointed to see that today Pope Francis, and sadly all of the EU- ignored the significance of September 1 in history. Sept 1 1939 marks the beginning of WWII! Now completely forgotten except in Poland- who suffered most through the war and even more afterward. This is the day 77 years ago that the Nazi troops rolled into Poland and took over. The Poles were hugely outnumbered but fought valiantly for a week until there was no possible victory. And no help coming from any of the countries who promised to fight with them. Shameful that no one remembers….looking the other way just as they did when the Nazis invaded, and 17 days later the Soviets as well.

“…..ask forgiveness for our sins aginist the environment.” ( You’ve just entered into….The Twilight Zone. )

In a decade….the weak Catholic will be worshipping Mohamed. In twenty years, the remaining Catholics will be completely underground. Ridiculous? Probably so, but considering the defense of the True Faith is second to liberial relativism in this pontificate one might ponder the ridiculous. Strange times in which St. Peter’s dome becomes a propaganda tool, and the White House becomes a rainbow which was highjacked from Genesis.

Will God be mocked forever?
In a decade more…or two?

God help us…..

BTW…. should God go to confession to ask forgiveness for natural disasters which adversely affect the environment?

I agree with S. Armaticus that Pope Francis is a ‘write-off’ and let us say, ‘pray-off’. Can anything good come from the Vatican nowadays? Our best strategy now is to elect Donald as a resistance tactic.

Christine, the invasion of Poland on September 1 is little remembered anywhere except in Poland and by some of the Polish diaspora. The Roman Pontiff decided to lecture Poland to take in more Muslim refugees during WYD back at the end of July.
The Pontiff has made clear his intentions and what he cares nothing about.
