No, he will not apologize because there are “No Enemies to the Left” and the narrative is always true no matter what the facts. Saint John Paul II had the same blind spot in accepting the propaganda of our greatest foes as true. .

The pope will issue a retraction of his apology the second Tuesday of next week.

They’ve never made an attempt at excavating the site. The whole imbroglio has been an excuse for Liberal Party pols to allocate treasury money to people on their patronage. No one has a clue where the money went. (Well, presumably it went into salary money for wheel-spinning public bureaucracies and into the pockets of Indian political bosses).

My mother was for decades tight with a set of people employed by the Rochester Museum and Science Center, which at one time had staff archaeologists running projects at local historical sites. Their entire annual budget these days is around $8,000,000 a year,

Apologies for things you didn’t do and we’re not even present for are always Stupid Politician Tricks.

This would be true even if scores of bodies were discovered.

It is my firm belief that apologies for things you did not do is dishonest, deranged and spiritually hazardous. It presents a false reality in which the group is responsible for the acts of an individual.

For example, I will not apologize for Rupnik. Not my doing, never met the man. I might as reasonably apologize for the fall of Rome.

Not to mention the credibility of the office, and it’s negative effects on those who may have been scrutinizing the faith. If the head of the office is willing to bow to nonsense, then what won’t he bow down too?

Mistakes happen and inferior advisors make mistakes happen easier. Who didn’t do his due diligence on this one?

The spark that started that fire came from Rome.

How sad.

Was there ever any found? I didn’t find any MSM stories about this, but I found a few articles from various other sources. A couple of them said ‘after the initial find’ or similar. Was there ever? I’ve heard no. Yet that suggests there was. Hard to find the info on this one.

It was a professor playing around with ground penetrating radar, a technology with which she was theretofore unfamiliar. She found 215 anomalies, but they’ve never been investigated further. By some accounts, there was a cemetery there with wooden grave markers which were later deteriorated. If you found any graves there, you’d have to compare mean annual additions to period mortality, especially to the toll from tuberculosis.
==
One of the more recent attempt to actually investigate a site with these supposed anomalies was somewhere in Manitoba (IIRC). It was a small sample of anomalies. They dug up the ground and found…nothing.

This whole business has been an information op, starting with Professor Whatshername.

Trudeau wife has since left him. When you play with people’s lives (forever vaccines, lockdowns) and spread false rumours about Gods Church, God has a way to “wake you up”. The ex-wife has since been giving interviews about her “new found freedom” following her separation from Trudeau- which is humiliating for the cocky Trudeau. Maybe this will “wake him up”.

Apologies require a) respect for truth over ideology and b) humility.

I’d not hold my breath.

How do you take back an apology? If the people you sent it to were decent people, they’d send it back to you. But they are not decent people. Waste of time to go and demand they give you back the apology.

At the time Sophie Gregoire married Justin Trudeau, he’d quit teaching and was in the midst of one of his two abandoned attempts at a post-baccalaureate degree. She’s not a sympathetic figure.

Art I’m indifferent to the wife and don’t care what type of character she is. My point was that Trudeau ruined people’s lives and in turn received his just reward.
