Many moons ago, National Geographic ran an article about Afghanistan. On the cover was a haunting portrait photo of a 13 year old Muslim girl-green eyes, red scarf, green robes (Christmas did not come to mind, though).
.
Some years after, I saw an painting/icon of that same girl on our parish’s altar for the month of November (All Saints’ Day/All Souls’ celebrations.)

Omitting pertinent facts to inflame hate or spread CCP/Democrat propaganda/lies is a sin against the Ninth Commandment: Thou shalt not bear false witness on thy neighbor. And, they did it on a altar.

Watch the entire videos. Read the warrants and criminal conviction records covering their martyrs/saints.

I apologize in advance. I’m mad as a wet cat.

End white privilege! You evil, hate-filled white people must: abuse more alcohol and drugs; beat up your wife; blame somebody else for everything; drop out of school: education is punishment; hate your children; rape any woman you want; sell drugs – only suckers work for $15 an hour; steal anything you want; …

Black privilege = the “super power” to be declared a martyr/saint after committing every violent crime in the statute books.

St. Xavier’s is Jesuit-run, so I’m not surprised. That parish is notorious— a few years ago they used a rainbow flag as a rug in front of the high altar in observance of gay pride month in NYC.

Maybe the folks in that parish put those things in the sanctuary because their political correctness is the idol they truly worship, and the Church exists only to give it an attractive, respectable veneer.

That Priest looks like he’s older than Joe Biden.

Only giant redwood trees and dirt are older than Joe Biden.

Reminds me of the beginning of the parable of the tax collector and the pharisee-“The Pharisee stood and prayed to himself…”

There are some things that can be affirmed there, others not so much.

“Equity” replacing “equality” is definitely giving me the willies.

Lawyers are so many places they don’t belong. And here they are stealing a term that actually belongs to lawyers and lawyers alone.

Heresy in the pulpit.
Despicable. Heresy.

Impiety? Absolutely. Sacrilege? Probably. Blasphemy? Maybe. Heresy? I don’t think so.

But then I’m not inclined to actually watch the video, so maybe I’m talking out of turn.

Meanwhile this gives even further ammunition to diehard anti-Catholic Protestant fundamentalists (as if the Pope doesn’t provide enough ammunition himself) – “Look, see what these Catholics believe in?” That part makes my blood boil.
I couldn’t watch the video having just eaten lunch.

Diehard anti-Catholic Protestant fundamentalists have their hands full dealing with their liberal left-wing loosey-goosey confreres who espouse the same silly sentiments.

Man I’m not catholic and even I’m offended.

Plus seems like some of that was already in the Bible once upon a time. Maybe quote the passages? In the original Latin if you feel fancy?

I doubt bringing in a 2nd religion into Catholicism is going to work out well.

Brian Niemeier figured out how to deal with the people who claim to be Christian but just spout leftist claptrap: ask them to affirm that Jesus Christ is their Lord and Savior. Usually they will either try to sidestep the question (by acting insulted, or by saying that they are so obviously Christian that they do not need to say such things, or by accusing you of trying to change the topic to confuse things) or just spout a lot more liberal claptrap mixed with vague appeals to Christianity (ex. “Certainly there is a higher power that guides us in our quest for social justice and I continue to act in accordance with the divine aims of equality and fairness that have long been supported by Christians throughout history”). But if they are just using Christianity as a means to further their politics they’ll do everything they can to avoid saying His name.

Occasionally you’ll find someone who will agree to affirm Christ’s divinity and authority. This means that you found one of those rare ducks who is actually a faithful Christian and has nevertheless fallen hard into the leftist political belief. But you can usually tell who these people are beforehand. They might talk about leftist causes, but usually won’t use Christianity to prop them up and certainly won’t talk about the likes of George Floyd or Michael Brown like they were saints.

But for those who won’t admit it (or deny Him; that would work if they really aren’t Christian) the conversation usually ends there. Their act doesn’t really work if they won’t confess even the most basic Christian belief, but they can’t confess as a lie because they know that their peers would eat them alive.

Where’s Cdl. Dolan? Every bishop in this country has a grave obligation to speak out against priests doing stuff like this and sternly discipline any priest under his authority who does this. But so far, silence.

Where’s Cdl. Dolan? Every bishop in this country has a grave obligation to speak out against priests doing stuff like this and sternly discipline any priest under his authority who does this. But so far, silence.

There was yet another set of scandals in the Diocese of Bridgeport some years back which featured behavior by the bishop which oscillated between somnambulance and imposing draconian penalties. Our friend Dale Price said he’d figured out Bp. Lori’s operational principle: “Don’t screw with the money”.

O C’mon man! Here’s here’s you know, the thing:

It’s a Jesuit run parish! Jesuits! Whaddya gonna do, amirite? Dolan would have to close the parish altogether to make them stop. And what would that do to the faithful? Better they be malformed than not formed at all, right? That’s in Gospel, man. Right next to millstones. And you can take that to the bank.
