Germany is also retreating on its nuclear phaseout.

Sometimes retreat is a wise decision.

“The seating shown is Saga Class (business class) on an Icelandair flight
from Nuuk to Keflavik; Icelandair does not offer first class.”

No first class! Ah, the sufferings of war!

So the welfare states in Europe have the US to provide for their defenses since WW2, then when the US has concern and interest in Greenland -suddenly they show interest and force in North America??

This is all for show on the world stage, call it an old world ego problem. The world knows better, it’s dangerous for Greenland and insulting to the US.

I wonder if they went there to retrieve something, maybe something they believe is important for their future. Greenland is a cold place. If I wanted to preserve something, like the brain of a fallen former leader, I wouldn’t bring it somewhere like Argentina. I mean, of course I’d have it in a tank or isolation container that kept it frozen, but it’d just make sense to have the added back-up value of it being in a sub-zero environment. I can’t be the only person who’s thinking this.

Trump wants to buy Greenland. Denmark ought to swallow its pride and sell it. How much better would it have been for all parties concerned if Spain had sold Cuba to the US in the 19th century?
