Saint of the Day Quote: Feast of the Holy Innocents

16 Then Herod perceiving that he was deluded by the wise men, was exceeding angry; and sending killed all the men children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the borders thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.  17 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremias the prophet, saying:  18 A voice in Rama was heard, lamentation and great mourning; Rachel bewailing her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.

No Kings day?

It’s interesting, imo, that the fear which King Herod had resulting in the killing of the innocent’s is the same fear which abortion “rights” activists harbor and unfortunately resulting in the same destruction. The killing of the Innocence.

For the left, the question is who is King?

They say Trump, yet it’s their own power to take and kill an innocent life. God forbid they loose that power. ( sarcasm added. )

I understand that Holy Innocents is moved or de-emphasized today because the Sunday (Holy Family) takes precedence.
However, I object to the event being removed from today’s gospel reading.
Whoever does all the cut and paste for readings will have a lot to answer for, I think.

The innocent person is the standard of Justice for all people. Jesus rules the world with a iron rod, natural law and the scepter, divine law.
The breaking of either will bring destruction and misery to the corrupt.
