Burn of the Day

Go here to read what the Pope wrote.  I may have been too hasty with the burn.  The Pope may be open to new methods to increase vocations.  Let us hope that trying traditional Catholicism comes to his mind.

The priest shortage is self-inflicted.

– Only boys should be altar servers. A priest does not need an altar server to say Mass. The main reason for altar servers is vocational. Girls become women and can never be ordained. Boys being boys do not want to participate in a girl thing.
– Eliminate homosexuals from holding priestly office. Their presence attacks masculine fraternity, they invade seminaries and push out valid candidates, they have cost the church billions in the sexual abuse of boys.
– Have only the ordained be Eucharistic ministers at Mass. What was supposed to be extraordinary has become ordinary. Having the laity distribute communion, blurs the distinction between the priesthood and the laity.
– Bring back altar rails. Being the most efficient manner of distributing communion, there would be no need for extraordinary Eucharistic ministers. Reverent reception of holy communion at the foot of the altar would provide a prayerful time for discerning many things, including a vocation as a priest.

Allow TLM to exist side-by-side with NO . All four points above are present in the traditional Latin mass, including the exclusion of homosexuals for the most part. There is nothing in TLM that attracts a homosexual.

Unfortunately,, none of these four points serve the lavender mafia. Therefore Provost / Leo / Francis 2.0 won’t do any of these things. But he might write a letter stressing Synodality, having relations with the world, and obedience as a sign of mature priesthood especially when a bishop commands you to bless a homosexual couple.

AMEN!

The Mass of the ages fuels vocations to the priesthood. Plain and simple! You want a vibrant church? TLM and Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration.

Do you want a mosque where there used to be a Catholic Church? Keep doing what you’ve been doing.

The Lavender Mafia is a cancer.

A great siphoning off of wealth is occurring because of worldly priests who could not put aside their perverse pleasures to serve.

Perhaps the result will be a Church so poor that none but those who wish to serve could possibly be attracted to it. Perhaps, that has already begun, with the type of seminarians we are seeing.

May such men quietly slip though the sputtering old guard that keeps “making all things new”
May we welcome them when they do.
May we defend them when the old guard, inevitably, lashes out at them in their last fits of willfulness.

The Lavender Mafia and the money trail. Some men become priests because they are too lazy to get a job.

From your lips to God’s ears TBO, unfortunately Godless governments have been more than happy to pick up the slack left by scrupulous pew-sitters unwilling to continue funding the legal defenses of clerical perverts.
The Church doesn’t suffer from a lack of income, but the Lavender Mafia’s numbers seem to have outgrown it. A lack of oversight begets a lack of self-control among the depraved and the usual slush funds can’t handle the sheer volume of hands in the till. I know that sounds cynical, but until someone can explain to me how a Vatican dermatology clinic can end up being €800,000,000 in debt, I’ll consider avaricious perverts to be the most likely explanation.

“Tucho’s” motto; En medio de tu pueblo
(‘Your servant is here among the people’ )

Something is among the people alright but in the case of the pornographer acting as a cardinal and holding a position that is contrary to his aspirations I would suggest that our prayers continue and his office ceases.

I don’t believe that anyone was holding a gun to his head when he wrote his Penthouse forum and submitted it into the Catholic Church.

Enough already Pope Leo.

The implosion in ordinations has been an engineered famine, and it’s precisely the crowd idolizing the “Spirit of Vatican II” who are doing said engineering.

I think one of the motives some Church professionals have for reducing ordinations is to wrest control of parish governance from priests and place it with laity. Interestingly enough, most of the time de facto parish governance then ends up in the hands of a clique of Sr. Pantsuit/Karen-from-the- Parish Council types. The parish priest is relegated to dispensing sacraments and rubber-stamping decisions made by others.

I think the other motive for the deliberate collapsing of ordinations is to gatekeep the priesthood and exclude seminarians who might be “too attached” to Tradition or actually view the Church as the Bride of Christ and not just a politically correct NGO.

I recall the deeply unfortunate new Bishop of Charlotte saying the quiet part out loud when a memo to his priests was leaked, in which he stated there was no place in his seminary for candidates interested in saying the Traditional Rite. Something tells me the healthy crop of seminarians Bishop Martin inherited from his excellent predecessor will be declining steeply in the next several years— and +Martin and his staff are just fine with that.

Timing.

In Saint Paul’s letter to the Romans, 5:20, we are assured that regardless on how sin seems to be gaining the upper hand grace abounds all the more. Martin will be bombarded with prayers from those very same seminarians that sprung up from the Traditional Latin rite, hence the graces that will overpower the sin of pride. In time Charlotte will be on their knees supported by new communion kneelers at the communion rail.

Jesus I Trust in You.
