My mother-in-law Normayne Stringer passed away today at age 93. I was close to her. As I frequently told her, after the death of my mother in 1984, she was the closest thing I had to a mother. Her husband, my Bride’s father, a World War II Navy vet, passed away at age 73 in 1997.
I knew her for 43 years. She was a grand lady, a loving mother and grandmother, and she will be greatly missed. Now she goes to join her husband who will probably say, before hugging her, “What took you so long!” When Larry died, she heard chimes in her house at around 2:30 AM when he passed. Her house had no chimes.
My Holy Hour is coming up at 10pm.
You and your family can count on my prayers tonight. God rest her soul.
Prayers for your mother-in-law. Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord.
Keeping you in mind.
Oh Donald. 😔 Condolences to you and your wife for the passing of beautiful Normayne. I hope your family receive Our Lord Jesus Christ’s comfort in this sad time. God Rest her Eternal Soul. Your beautiful boy Larry will be hugging his beloved grandma for certain.
Concur with all here. RIP to her and peace to you and your bride. 🙏
My condolences Mr.McClary.
Sorry for your loss, will include her in my prayers tonight. People have told “mother-in-law” jokes for generations but a kind and loving mother in law (which I had, she passed away in 2017) is a great blessing.
Don-
Condolences to you and yours.
Prayers for Normayne.
And happiness (not envy) that you were blessed with a mother in law who was like a mother to you.
I’m so very sorry Donald …
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and perpetual light shine upon her. †
Thank you my friends. She lived a good life and had a long run, but it always hurts when a loved one passes, no matter their age.
