our bishops love socialism. many bishops love caesar and will beg for caesar’s crumbs.
Listening to Bernie Sanders on Joe Rogan rail against billionaire’s and large corporations in food, transportation, energy and health care.., his solution was always the same -total government control.
In the first 30 minutes he had us all enslaved.
Most bishops here, unfortunately, don’t work for their daily bread, don’t have to sweat through the household budget and make tough financial decisions on a daily basis. All their material needs are passively met. As such, it’s easy for them to say “the state will provide.”

A GOOD bishop works hard for his daily bread.
Sweats the shrinking budget with which to provide for his people.
Makes tough decisions on how to serve the diocese with as few cuts as possible with few priests to field and even fewer he wants to field because they are worn out, heterodox, or morally questionable.
I agree that *many* bishops, instead
Coast.
Enjoy the fringe benefits in their sees with little thought of the faithful.
Shrug off the priest shortage.
Weild power like a Baron in 18th Century France.
Too many bishops enjoying the job, too few doing the job. We need to pray for them – hard – especially the ones who have made themselves our enemies.
