Go here to read the story. I have been trying to hold my enthusiasm down, but I have not been so excited about a pontificate since the death of John Paul II. Pope Leo will doubtless do things I will disagree with, as John Paul II did, but I feel as if the clouds have parted and there is a pope we can look to for leadership with a good degree of trust. We shall see.
Inaugural Mass
- Donald R. McClarey
Donald R. McClarey
Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.
Our PM is on the first jet over to Rome for the Mass. A left-leaning, pro-abortion, pro-euthanasia, pro-SS “marriage”, unionist. *sigh* He raced over there. Not sure if it’s more him running from doing any work here. *double-sigh*
I really like Pope Leo XIV.
Two happy men in the picture.
Joseph Ratzinger as Benedict XVI was no slouch either.
I wonder if the almost-Ambassador to the Vatican will attend. Or maybe that’s against protocol…
