May the souls of the murdered kids, and their teacher, be now with the Holy Innocents in Heaven. May the two wounded, one of whom is a seven year old child, swiftly recover. In this fallen world evil isn’t just a theory, but a palpable, monstrous reality. However, in this Vale of Tears God also gives us the courage to stand against it if we have the stomach for it. The hero who acted in this case to put a stop to this demonic rampage was eating his lunch nearby, saw what was happening, and immediately sprang into action.
When it comes to this type of evil there is only one spiritual response:
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in the battle. Be our protection against the malice and snares of the Devil we humbly pray. And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into Hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
