Burn of the Day
- Donald R. McClarey
Donald R. McClarey
Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.
I see we have dispensed with the secrecy of the Conclave now? I guess it makes sense, as once they went over 120 Cardinals, why not?
A prediction.
Slowly and steadily (I think) the wolves are going to realize they’ve been duped.
We’re told Pope Leo retweeted something from America Mag and the National Catholic Reporter not to long ago. Let’s wait and see. The Bible phrase “so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves” keeps ringing in my head.
Cupich excommunicates himself when he discusses what happened in the conclave. No surprise. I hope it is publicly acknowledged. He needs to repent. At 76, I hope his retirement is accepted or even better, him and Parolin are sent to China as missionaries.
Well, JFK, you know how it is with those of a certain ideological leaning. No one is above the law, except them.
China missionaries…JFK. Thats better than having Joe Biden lead Cupich and Parolin on a fact finding mission to New Guinea.
After all…Joe is a “good” Catholic and what couldn’t be better than having two “holy” men with you in case of man eaters. Last Rite’s between bites.
(The body of U.S. President Joe Biden’s uncle, 2nd Lt. Ambrose J. Finnegan Jr., was never found during or following World War II because cannibals ate it.)
Don’t you kind of miss Uncle Joe for the comic relief aspect? He should open at the Laugh Factory. Matinee times only. Sunday’s at 4pm.
I do apologize for veering off the topic.

Philip:
“Last Rites between bites.”
That is good. Laughing.
I suppose the nod to Cdl. Cupich was a political necessity. That done, he can be properly ignored and let the rest of us get on with business.
