Never say “women priests”. In English we have a word for that phrase “priestess”. Do people say a female waiter or a female steward? No. The word priestess is not liked because in western society everyone knows a priestess is not a Christian role but a pagan one.

In my neck of the woods we don’t even have female altar servers. On the peninsula there are 4 historic Episcopal churches with priestesses. At least they are not lesbians unlike the former lesbian bishop across the river in MD. They haven’t had any male priests in 10 years or more. The Anglican and Catholic churches attendances are growing. The Episcopal congregations are greatly diminished.
