The image of a former President being prosecuted multiple times by his successor is the hallmark of a nation headed towards civil war. Such prosecutions will become the norm. Telling presidents and presidential candidates that jail awaits if they do not gain power, fosters a mentality of doing anything and everything to gain power and hold onto that powr.

As for Obama and his minions, since the new rules allow one to abrogate a statute of limitations retroactively, let’s do it. And also put them on trial in front of specially constituted tribunals made up of hack Republican lawyers. And sentence them all to 30 years in Guantanamo. All’s fair.
