Hilarious.
Had me going there until the very last line. “Don’t worry, Mary isn’t really Catholic.” 😂 (Paraphrased.)
Me reminds of a sweet moment: My then 8 year old and I were reading about Holy Week at bedtime when he asked me,”Did Mary know Jesus was going to die on the cross?” “What do you think, Lawrence?” “I don’t think she did, Mom, because knowing that Mary would be too sad all her life.”
In the interest of being contrarian, Paul McCartney’s Wonderful Christmas Time is a crime against humanity and therefore much worse.
Mary’s soul was not darkened by original sin. Mary’s soul, created in original innocence as was Adam’s soul, the breath of God had full informed consent and all knowledge.
Mary knew that her Son was to be crucified because scripture prophesied and she is known as the Sorrowful Mother.
With fully informed consent Mary asked God for perpetual virginity in body and soul and was granted that gift. Mary’s will was always in perfect conformity to the will of God, our Father as was the will of Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son.
Love so great cannot fully be appreciated.
