The Truth is marching on…Amen.
JRR Tolkien’s trilogy and 21st century America. Moldor and the Eye haven’t crumbled. The Orchs surround us.
Gollums abound.
We carry our crosses to victory.
The Truth is marching on.
That version is very moving and significant because Christians from Africa are singing a hymn from the American Civil War. However this version remains my favorite:

The last verse is powerful, especially the slight pause before they emphasize, “Let us die to make men free.”
“Battle Hymn” on a blog that claims to be Catholic. The song was written by a heretic for a cause headed by an irreligious yokel in the cause of 19th-century Liberalism that Pope Pius IX condemned along with all other educated people in what remained of Christendom.
Thanks Willy. I thought for a while idiot Lincoln haters were no longer reading the blog and grinding their teeth while doing so.
Donald, you should award yourself Comment of the Week for that one. Here’s my substitute effort! US Marine Marching Band plays “Semper Fidelis.” Hope the link works.
