How does that work, exactly? If this was a sitcom, it would be hilarious … but it’s the real America we’re suffering through, and so it’s terrifying.
That says a lot in terms of thinking the government is the true “moral authority” over the people. What people really think can seep out under duress.

The generic man his age has a life expectancy of about nine years. An Alzheimer’s diagnosis is associated with a reduction in life expectancy on the order of 5-10%. His father lived to be 86 and his mother 92. He could be around for a few years yet. The question right now is the point at which his impairment is so noticeable that a critical mass of the principal officials emerges to place him on a terminal leave of absence. You need the vice president, eight cabinet secretaries, the Speaker of the House, and the floor leaders in both chambers to be on board. This requires Democratic politicians to admit publicly that the last two or three years have been a pantomime. The closest thing to that which has happened in my memory was Adam Schiff’s admission that Robert Mueller was non compos mentis during his time in charge of the farcical Mueller investigation; it was blatantly obvious from the man’s appearances in front of congressional committees that he was gaga; Schiff could make a plausible claim he hadn’t known this two years earlier; and the admission was offered past the time it would have made a difference.

I hate to be a wet blanket, but then-Chief Justice Rehnquist penned a draft opinion in Webster v. Reproductive Health Services which functionally overturned Roe back in 1989. That draft did not become law.

I rather doubt that Joe Biden worries at all about his appearance before God’s judgment. It is likely like many “Catholic-in-name-only” Democrats, he believes he is guaranteed salvation by a smiling “Well done, Joe!” happy-happy God.

“Catholic-in-name-only” Democrats appear to have a preferential option for governmental solutions. Where the government is all-seeing, all-knowing, and all powerful. The government as god. It’s as if the government has the power of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes.
The USCCB is nothing more than a wholly owned subsidiary of the culture and party of death, the Democratic Party. They are cultural democrats. Yes, but that may change. Bishops in blue states who up until now never had to confront their wealthy pro-abortion-infanticide donors will likely find it increasing awkward not to.
