They are fully on board. The trajectory of the Kirchensteuer Cult has been obvious for at least two generations, and if you aren’t willing to actively fight against it, you are complicit.
ZdK is a schismatic movement for contemporary Marxists and other hedonists, led by the same type of well-heeled elderly types who raptly attend the Reverend Martin’s lectures. They want the power and cash of the clerical caste, but are willing to relieve the latter of chastity and obedience to anybody other than themselves. And the Hun episcopate is cool with that.

The synods are tools of the Pope, in his ongoing efforts to destroy the Church. Ever notice (I caught on years ago), how often the Pope speaks of the Spirit. Less often do you hear the term Holy Spirit, Third Person of the Holy Trinity. Whatever spirit he often refers to is one at odds with the Holy Spirit.
Positive note on one of the good guys: Cardinal Burke is now well enough, after intensive therapy, to say Mass. Therapy continues. He is not strong enough to take on pastoral duties yet. He thanks all for prayers and ask for Rosaries said to heal the Church.
