True. The thing of it is, the homosexual and bisexual set ca. 1995, amounted to all of 2.8% of the adult population. The influentials in our society routinely ignore organized social segments 5x that size. We’ve reached a point where an ENT doctor in Massachusetts was fired from his position on a clinical faculty and bounced off the attending list of four area hospitals for offering the opinion in an inter-office memo that homosexuality engendered medical problems and should be discourage. Of course, it does generate medical problems and everyone knows it. The culture of our professional-managerial stratum is so disordered that this man is severely impaired in being able to treat patients due to his opinions on social questions. How did the culture our professional-managerial stratum get so stupid and vicious? We all lived through it, but we don’t know why it happened.
Which brings me to another pet peeve. The bivariate correlation between homosexuality and the sexual violation of youth is immense. We are talking a difference in observable propensities which exceeds 15-to-1. But we have supposed experts baldly lying about this or insisting that no organizational policy can take this into account because reasons.
