It’s always the same formula of propaganda and lies. The Tucker Carlson/NSA outrage fits.
For months, the Fed and Treasury mouthpieces and ‘Fed minutes’ have been playing a similar tune on the coming inflation/stagflation – never let a good crisis go to waste.
First, it’s only supply chain constipation.
Then, it’s ‘transitory.’
Then, a little inflation is a good thing.
What’s next? ‘It wasn’t us!’ FYI it was. Thirteen-plus years of near zero rates, huge deficits and spending, monetizing the national debt, massive asset purchases.
Finally, the crisis. “Give us more power and control.”
Here’s the caption that runs through my mind whenever the Fed Board of Governors or FOMC meets. “The guys that wrecked the economy are bloviating about the economy.”
And, remember when the economic/financial markets excrement collides with the rotary oscillator. Janice Yelling said, “There will not be another financial crisis in our lifetime.”
Those guys are as bad a Fauci.
