Well if they are going national, the Capitol Police as a name doesn’t seem to fit. What to call them? Pelosi’s Police? Praetorian Guard? Gestapo? Stasi? NKVD? Kapitol Keystone Kops? Imagine, just imagine, if Trump had proposed this in 2017 when the GOP controlled both chambers.
