Burn of the Day

Don Bacon is a retired Brigadier General of the Air Force.  I have noticed that flag officers often seem to assume, and act on that assumption, that the rules that govern the rest of us do not effect them.  I am glad that under Trump they are getting “Welcome to the real world, pal!” treatment.

Looking at Gen. Milley and the scandals at West Point, we have reason to believe there are quite a few flag-rank officers who do not belong in their positions. Kurt Schlichter suggested a few years back that the thing to do would be to fire all of them and ask a few back.

Since Don Bacon will be receiving pay without downsizing, why can’t he work for free?
One season in Congress and the congressman receives pay for life. Great to vote yourself a raise.
