It seems strange that in that collection of photos they they didn’t include the ones of him kneeling in pachamama worship.

Feminized theological instruction and spiritual direction from first wave era feminists… A-yep, very explanatory.

My 68 year old eyesight is getting bad, so for those like me, here is a link to Rod Halvorsen’s tweet:

Many thanks, Donald. Now posted on my FB time line. I will get all the usual reactions from Vatican II Novus Ordo lovers. BTW, as I posted over there, His Worthlessness marched with Italian communists against his own country’s nuclear deterrence in NATO countries, but never ever once marched against the communist Soviet Union for having installed SS-20 intermediate range nuclear ballistic missiles in Warsaw Pact countries. I was in the nuclear submarine force then. As far as I am concerned, he is a traitor (that’s what feminist liberal formation does to a person) and unworthy to sit in Saint Peter’s seat.

Thank you for posting this succinctarticle about “theological studies” at Catholic U in the late 70’s/ early 80’s that explains Robert Prevost’s [shallow and likely unquestioning*] theological education better than one could otherwise explain in many volumes.

@ LCQ. Indeed.

Yet Robert Prevost is infinitely more dangerous: he is “well-intentioned” and naive.

The Aragon Hotel ¡!!!!!
My grandmother worked there when I was a child, I loved that elegant, wonderful place. I recall playing with my dolls in the garden area in the rear, the “old men” were so kind to me. A goldfish pond, which decades later I realized were koi, was there. A first heartbreak for me was when it changed. Mr Mitten, aka Metten, so many wonderful people. I was about 6 at my last visit.

You should read the article. There is a lot of insight into the man there.

However, be prepared for the smug, secular tone.

At one point late in the article, the author wonders how the Church could possibly be relevant when it talks of such “quaint” things as shepherding and sowing!! Without shepherding and sowing, what does our urbane author expect there will be for him to eat???

Secularists and Modernists.

Just. So. Clever.

TBO,

Well, it *is* Time Magazine, so that’s probably about as well as they are going to do.

Sola scriptura (Latin for “Scripture alone”) is what Protestants took, rejecting the Magisterium and Holy Tradition.. that form the “three-legged stool” of Divine Revelation. This easily seen as foolish, as Holy Scripture, or what we now call The Bible came from Holy Tradition and the Magisterium, as it was Holy Tradition that determined which books were of value and the Magisterium who ruled on which books would be included in the Biblical Canon.

Modernists do something similar but much much worse. Having captured one and now two Papacy’s… Magisterial Authority is claimed, not only above all previous Magisterium.. but also above Scripture and Holy Tradition… ultimately..theirs is a rejection of Divine Revelation Itself.
